| Why I RideJohn "Fuzzy" Mylne resides in Arcata, California. He started racing road bikes at the age of 12 and evolved into a triathlete. His first experience with a mountain bike was 7 years ago when he borrowed one to explore the forests around Arcata. After a few years of casual mountain biking he happened across something that would change his view of the sport-a rigid singlespeed. One of his most memorable moments was getting his first singlespeed bike. "Riding a singlespeed is so pure and simple. It took me back to riding BMX bikes with my friends." John has been racing for 4 years and prefers endurance races because they allow for more time on his bike. He won't give up his secret to race nutrition but says his solution to combining work and cycling is easy; he just doesn't work. John rides alone most of the time while listening to music from Paul Oakenfold and the Black Eyed Peas. He prefers one shaved leg and one unshaven to help him turn left. John also enjoys nature photography and long walks on the beach.
John's definition of a good team: A group of people with good attitudes and positive outlooks on life.
