| Why I RideMy cycling began, like most, as a kid just getting around my hometown Las Vegas on a typical bmx bike. At 16 (legal driving age) I got a job, bought a car and forgot about cycling. At 30 I tore the ACL ligament in my knee in addition to substantial cartilage damage playing adult league football. Cycling was prescribed as rehab for my injury and soon became a life changing passion. I went from a working Optician to opening a specialty Sports Optical store (see www.eyegearusa.com ) focusing on custom rx active eyewear systems. Within 2 years my store partnered with Nu Vision Cyclery and my dream was realized. My first race was in 1999 at Big Bear Lake, Ca. I raced in the Sport category, (took the "Beginner" category literally) placed 2nd from last and been hooked on racing ever since. | Results | | 2008 | - CALIFORNIA STATE SERIES-RD#4 EXPERT 40-44, 2ND
